Watch it to Believe it. Royal Dutch Shell announces the World`s First Offshore FLNG Gas Facility. It will be the Largest Ship Ever constructed at almost half a Kilometer long. The previous largest ship in the world was the Seawise Giant that was demolished in 2009. The Seawise Giant was only a "tiny" 458.45 meters in size (new ship is 488 Meters). The new Shell vessel will also be much wider and especially much taller including all it`s specialized equipment for extracting gas and then converting it to Liquid Gas.
